WG 3

Working Group 3

  • Composed mainly of medical doctors, radiologists and neurologists, the people in WG 3 will be responsible for the establishment and running of the clinical trials, test-retest studies and generally for the enforcement of Quality Insurance and Quality Control
  • During year 1, WG 3 will be working on the establishment of protocols and standard operating procedures for performing multi-centre studies using ASL, including procedures for cross-validation
  • More specifically, the protocols and standard procedures should be established regarding:
    • Definition of acceptable spatial and temporal resolution: dependence of which pathology we examine, what answers are needed
    • Inter-scan and inter-groups Quality control
    • Easy to use postprocessing
    • Validity control
    • Resulting rCBF maps should yield absolute quantitative values
    • Export to PACS in dicom for fusion to any other image: PET, MRI, CT.
    • Site acceptation for ASL in clinical trials and site protocols (to be defined)
